Review: Presto Fry Daddy Elite

Yes.

It is true.

I  have became addicted to frying things. The idea first started when I decided that one week I wanted to make appetizer recipes. I tried and I tried to do it on a pan with the hot oil. They came out burnt and just not flavorful. Max saw me struggling and failing at making these recipes. He decided that he was going to go out and buy me a little fryer for the house. Now I will say that I have been using this a lot because I did just get it. It’s not the best thing to eat a lot of fried foods. I know that. But it is exciting to have a new piece of equipment in the kitchen!

He purchased the Presto Fry Daddy. This is the info from the Walmart website. Max purchased it at Walmart for $18.84 plus tax.

It has 4 out of 5 star review on the website with 197 reviews. I think that is pretty solid.

I have used it for a couple things now and it has worked great. It has cooked all my food evenly. It only uses 4 cups of oil which is nice. It is pretty easy to clean. You just have to make sure you watch the  electric components. The only thing I would change about it is that you can’t remove the pot for easy clean up. It would be so nice if you could just take that off and throw it in the dishwasher. But at this point I am being nit picky. It does come with a little booklet that gives you estimate times on different things you could cook. Also comes with a little strainer spoon/spatula thingy. I just did a test one before doing a bigger batch to make sure on timing and consistency. That way I could get the consistency that I like. Here’s a couple pictures of the Fry Dadddy!

Overall, I would defiantly recommend for someone who fry occasionally and is new to it. Very simple and easy to use. Beware though, outside does get VERY hot.

  1. This is the Fry Daddy I have. 🙂 For bigger jobs, or when we have more family over, we could use a bigger deep fryer. But, for use on a regular basis, this one does the trick!
