Now I’m sure everyone has had or made this before. There are many different styles and kinds out there! Mine is definitely a hearty meat chili. I use lots of beans (which means tons of fiber :P), ground beef, and sausage! Now this can easily be converted into a vegetarian dish. All you have to do is cut the meat and there are plenty of beans to still make it very hearty! This is also not a super spicy recipe. Usually it probably would have but we decided to do a mild version. If you want to add a kick, adding jalapenos and a couple dashes of hot sauce is sure to fix it 😛
Ingredients:
- 1lb of browned ground beef
- 2 sausage links cut into bite size pieces
- 1 can of pinto beans ; undrained
- 1 can of black beans ; undrained
- 1 can of chili beans ; undrained
- 1 clove of garlic chopped/minced
- 1 can of stewed tomatos ; undrained
- 1 half chopped onion
- 1 little can of tomato sauce
- 1 packet of mild chili seasonings – usually an assortment of chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt and pepper
Steps:
With Love,
That looks pretty insanely delicious! Can’t go wrong with chili. 🙂
